Initial Challenges:

FloScan wanted to incorporate all vehicle types for which the company offers products as expansion of the old Web site had not kept pace with markets. New site needed to blend information and tools from old site. Integration of the model selector guide with new shopping cart feature was a key component for new site development.

Design Solutions:

Web site design and colors integrate with logo and established brand image. Featured news, events, testimonials and videos can be changed or rearranged on the fly by site owners.

Sales & Marketing Solutions:

Web site now functions as a comprehensive marketing tool that includes all product lines for the needs of diverse markets; product selection links to shopping cart to make purchase process convenient. Easy-to-update content provides clear and convenient method of communicating trade show information with customers.

Business Process Improvements:

Integrating shipping solution allows customers to choose shipping options and displays corresponding prices and delivery times. User controlled site changes allow for price and product changes. Custom export to accounting software provides up-to-date sales order information.

Technical Solutions:
  • Custom back-end programming, complete with WIZIWIG editor, allows real-time updates of content including testimonials, products, events, pricing and news.
  • Former Access database brought in and updated in MySQL database solution.
  • Custom model selection guide, shopping cart and integrated shipping provide customer convenience.
User Solutions:

Customers can view information and purchase products for all of FloScan’s markets: aviation, recreational marine, commercial marine, off road, generators and accessories. New web site acts as a communications tool with up-to-date news and product information.
