Initial Challenges:
This was the second Web site Blue Sky
Projects did for Group West Companies,PLLC. Technology has changed in five
years, and it was time for a complete redesign. It was important to make it easy
to view photos of the company's wide rage of real estate development projects.
Optimizing the images so they would load quickly was key in ensuring a positive
user experience.
Design Solutions:
As part of Group West's marketing mix,
the Web site needed to integrate with their print materials. Blue Sky Projects
had also collaborated on the company brochures, so it was a seamless process to
continue the look and feel of the company brand.A Flash-based photo album highlights featured projects while translucent drop downs of additional projects slide in on top of the main pages.
Sales & Marketing Solutions:
Customers and prospects
can easily tour projects in different industries. The Web site conveys the great
depth and breadth of Group West's varied experience.A custom, stylized map pinpoints the company's new location.
Business Process Improvements:
On-site technical training
provided in-house managers with the ability to update the site content.
Technical Solutions:
- DHTML
- Flash
- Site optimized for use in on both PC and MAC platforms.
Site Achievements:
After Blue Sky Projects built this newsite, Group West Companies had the
following successes:
- New Web site delivers a
photographic tour of many
of the company's projects,
divided by industry. - Provides an instant online portfolio
to prospective clients while
supporting and promoting the
company brand. - Won Yahoo's site of the week
when launched (original site).

"Blue Sky Projects worked on our Web site a few years ago. When we ended up revamping our site again, it seemed a slam dunk to have them involved again. They just seemed like the best fit. They have been very responsive and the skill level to do what we needed was there."
